Womens

Women’s cricket has grown significantly in the county of the past few years, with there now being 25 clubs with at least one women’s team.

The growth in women’s cricket has led to a variety of different competitions to suit players of all abilities and experience levels.

These vary from Bristol Phoenix who play in a regional league to the Cotswold Women’s League which was set up to offer league cricket in a social environment.

Over the last few years the GCB has run a series of introductory coaching sessions and matches for women who are new to the game or are returning to it. These have proved very popular and led to an increase in the number of women joining clubs and playing matches.
