Community Partners

Based at community centres, Wicketz Bristol aims to provide opportunities for children who may not otherwise be able to join a sports club due to a lack of transport or cost.

As well as providing children the chance to play cricket in a safe, fun and inclusive environment, Wicketz also aims to support their development beyond sport. In November 2017 Police Community Support Officers took part in a session at the Knowle hub to help break down barriers between youngsters and police. The hubs were visited by members of Bristol’s Youth Council in the run up to the General Election and visits from local firefighters, nutritionists and social media experts are set to be confirmed in 2018.

Wicketz has also formed strong relationships with a wide range of partners including Bristol City Council, Hillfields Community Trust, Southmead Development Trust and the Park Centre, Knowle.
