Gloucestershire Seniors

The Gloucestershire Seniors have an Over 50 s team plays in Group 4 of the ECB 50+ County Championship, along with Oxfordshire, Worcestershire, Wales, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Shropshire and Herefordshire. From the group stages the competition progresses to the national rounds with the possibility of a Lords final.  2011 has also seen the formation of the Gloucestershire Over 60's.

All the matches are played at top club grounds and it is a great opportunity for like-minded cricketers to extend their competitive playing careers-all played in a very friendly manner. Home fixtures are played at Gloucester City Winget, Frocester, Apperley, Poulton and Redmarley. The majority of the team know each other well, through playing against each other, over the years, for their clubs.

Gloucestershire have enjoyed some success in recent years, regularly qualifying from the group for the national stages. Last season we lost to Derbyshire, the eventual winners, where ex-Zimbabwe captain, David Houghton, played a match-winning innings.
