Sport England – Small Grants Programme
The Small Grants Programme has been set up to support local community sport projects which seek to increase participation, sustain participation or develop opportunities for people to excel at their chosen sport.
For example, they might help a cricket club expand its age range by helping it to buy extra team kit or pay additional coaching fees or they may help cricket clubs to purchase much needed machinery or equipment.
It is open to any bona fide not-for-profit club or association, statutory body or educational establishment. They will not fund individuals or organisations established to make a profit and distribute that profit to members.
Every Club needs equipment to deliver cricket and there is no better way of getting high quality equipment than through the Lords Taverners scheme at a very low price (£25). Each year the Lord’s Taverners aim is to give young people a sporting chance. They achieve this by providing opportunities for young people, able bodied or with disabilities, under the age of 25 to participate in sport & recreation. Over the last 50 years they have given over £36m away to schools, sports clubs & special needs organisations.
