Cricket for Teachers
Cricket for Teachers (CfT)
In Gloucestershire we attempt to run as many CPD courses as possible for teachers and this 4 hour course is ideal for Primary Practitioners. The England and Wales Cricket Board through the roll out of the Cricket for Teachers (CfT) and Working in Schools (Wis) programme will assist and support the delivery of high quality PE and school sport by teachers and other adults supporting learning within schools.
We offer this development opportunity to all School Sports Partnerships (SSPs) at the beginning of each academic year and over the last 18 months the number delivered has grown considerably as we are now interacting with the SSPs on their Primary Link Teacher training days.
The CfT programme will help teachers, teaching assistants, higher level teaching assistants and other adults supporting learning within schools, understand how cricket can be used to deliver high quality PE and school sport.
The programmes have been designed to ensure a consistent approach to delivery within schools whilst equipping coaches and teachers to create relationships through the use of a common language. By developing the skills of the teachers and coaches, cricket can have a positive impact on whole school improvement.
