Over the last 3 months the GCB has been working on the production of a Gloucestershire Cricket Board Strategy for the years 2012 to 2015. This is a hugely important document to the GCB as it will give the Board clear direction and purpose for the next few years.

To ensure the strategy includes the thoughts and opinions of our members and key partners, and not just those of the GCB staff, an inclusive process of consultation has been undertaken. To date this has included consulting with our Development Groups, Associated Groups and Committees and the above document - 'GCB Strategy – Consultation Document' - is the result'.

The reason for producing this consultation document, and following feedback from you, the final strategy, is to give the GCB clear direction of what it needs to achieve over the coming years, based on what the GCB members tell us and believe. In the last three years the GCB has been reactive to opportunities and taken on pretty much all that has been offered, thus turning very much in to a delivering body supporting the development of cricket across all areas. This has had huge success but with the tightening of finances available it cannot continue and for this reason it is imperative that the GCB understands what the county's priorities are and should be for the next three years.

The next stage of this process is collating feedback and input from our clubs and partners and this is where we would like your support. For the strategy to be successful and relevant we would like your feedback on what you believe the priorities are for Cricket in Gloucestershire over the next 3 years. To do this we would like you to read the 'GCB Strategy – Consultation Document' and then provide your club's feedback and priorities by completing either the online Survey or returning the word document - both of which can be found below. Both of these surveys are identical, we are just providing you with options of how best you would like to feedback to us. By completing the survey you will be able to highlight which 2 recommendations you feel are the most important for the board under each area and also across all Board activity. You will also be able to highlight whether you think any key priorities have not yet been identified through the initial consultation.

To ensure that we meet the deadlines that the GCB has for the final strategy going live, (February AGM) can I please request that you complete the feedback and return it to us by Sunday 15th January. Once this feedback has been collated we will be able to complete the final stage of the process, the production of the GCB Strategy 2012 -2015.
