Our Partners
Across all aspects of Cricket Development the GCB work with many different partners who play a key role in the success and support of the work that we do, many having similar target areas. Below you will find listed a small section of our working partners which we conduct day to day work with and by clicking on their links you will be able to access their own websites:
The West of England Sport Trust (Wesport) is a registered charity working with a network of partners to increase, promote, support and celebrate lifelong participation in sport and physical activity, realising potential for all.
Wesport works as a network of organisations in the West of England to promote lifelong participation in sport and physical activity. It has over 57 member organisations from Local Authorities to HE/FE establishments, National Governing Bodies of Sport, and the School Sports Partnerships.
The main aim of the core team of Wesport is to work to strengthen this network and improve the quality and quantity of opportunities for our communities to engage in sport and physical activity. Key areas of work include the development of sporting competition in schools, development of the workforce and delivery of national sport and physical activity initiatives.
Wesport has a core team of 18 staff based at the University of the West of England and are the County Sports Partnership for the West of England which comprises the Local Authority areas of Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath & NE Somerset and North Somerset. Wesport is also a part of the 49 strong CSP Network working collectively to drive participation in sport and physical activity across the country.

Lords Taverners are a Charity, founded in and based upon cricket that helps young people, particularly those with social, environmental, physical or learning disadvantages, to enjoy cricket and other sporting and leisure activities.
Lords Taverners were founded in 1950 by a group of actors in the Tavern at Lord's Cricket Ground. They wished to give something back to the game they loved, their aim being to help and encourage young people to participate in the game of cricket, especially those who perhaps would not otherwise have the opportunity.
In Gloucestershire we are very thankful for the Lords Taverners support, not only with Non Turf Pitches and Cricket Bags for schools and clubs but also for the outstanding support of our Citi Cricket project that is currently targeting Cricket for the Disabled. www.lordstaverners.org
