Schools

Gloucestershire Cricket Board are committed to working in as many schools as is humanly possible as it strongly believes that by working with boys and girls from a young age will ensure that more cricketers across the County are developed each and every year. This work is done via 2 main routes:

1. Development Officers coaching within strategically planned areas – school to club links
2. Chance to shine – Educating through Cricket

Within the staff at the Board there are 5 Officers who all deliver within schools and all of which have priority areas of work.

1. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  delivers predominantly Girls coaching in the build up to both indoor and outdoor festivals and creates strong links with established and new clubs.
2. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  provides coaching in special schools, linking players to disability clubs in the North and South of the County. Chris also delivers coaching to Inner City Bristol schools
3. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  supports the work of Lisa and Chris whilst also delivering to some of our partner schools, Wycliffe and Bloxham.
4. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  delivers coaching in and around Gloucester – supporting his work of developing new junior clubs in the city.
5. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  delivers coaching in the Forest of Dean and Gloucester Sports Partnership areas.

All the work that the GCB carries out within schools has the 3 elements below in the forefront of its mind,
