Schools

The Gloucestershire Cricket Board is committed to working in as many schools as possible in order to try and achieve our aim of making cricket the sport of choice.

We strongly believe that by working with boys and girls from a young age we will inspire the next generation of cricketers across the county which will in turn strengthen both our clubs and performance squads.

In the last year alone, qualified coaches working on behalf of the GCB delivered sessions in more than 200 schools including primaries, secondaries and special schools. This included work through the Chance To Shine scheme and GCB strategic projects.

As well as offering high-quality coaching the GCB also runs schools competitions, provides cricket leadership courses for students and professional development opportunities for staff.
