The GCB have finalised offers for all forms of Education to ensure that every school has the opportunity to get involved in the game throughout the academic year, regardless of age, gender or player ability.
The offer from Cricket looks to engage with education through 3 main areas:
1. Delivery in both the curriculum and extra curriculum hours
2. A comprehensive competition framework which provides festivals and activity throughout the year
Methods in which to make the sport more sustainable in the school setting – through Teacher and Student CPD.
3. Separate ‘offers’ have been produced for secondary/SEN and primary schools. Each core offer provides a number of benefits to support both the student and the teacher but for each there is the opportunity to develop and produce a package that is bespoke to the individual school, ensuring that we meet the objectives of education and not just cricket.
If schools are interested in taking up the opportunity of working with the GCB then they only need to contact Chris Munden who will then arrange a meeting to discuss the schools needs and to finalise a plan.
Additional pages can be found in this section that can support schools, none more so than the following two links which provide rules, formats and timings for each of the cricket competitions, run by the GCB, offered to schools.
