Primary Competitions

Providing pupils with the opportunity to experience competitive cricket is an important part of the GCB’s schools programme and we believe that every child have the chance to play in matches.

As well as helping to develop their skills, the experience of playing competitively teaches children the values of team work, morals, fair play, leadership, dealing with winning and losing and the spirit of cricket.

At primary level the format used is kwik cricket which is played with a soft ball in teams of eight. We currently run three kwik cricket competitions each year.
