U19 T20 and U16 T20 2018
The summer of 2018 will see 31 teams compete in Gloucestershire’s Vitality U19 Club T20 in Association with First Class Comms (19) and Jelf U16 T20 Competitions (12).
The vibrant competitions which are played in coloured clothing seek to recreate the razzamatazz of the Vitality T20 Blast with points awarded for match day atmosphere including music, barbecues and off-field events.
The leagues are designed to keep more young people in the game.

Club Support and Resources
The ECB’s Online Activation Pack provides clubs with a one stop toolkit to ensure that both players and spectators alike receive the best cricketing experience this season. Anything from Creating the Blast Atmosphere and U19 Ownership to The Competition, Play-Cricket Guidance and Club Recognition can be found here. Although the content is U19 T20 branded, it remains a useful resource for U16 Clubs as the competition concepts are identical.
For U16 Rules and Regulations, these can be found on the U16 T20 Play-Cricket Site.
To help equip clubs and their young volunteers with the skills and ideas to create a perfect T20 environment for home fixtures, the Gloucestershire Cricket Board will be delivering a specific U19 T20 activator course. The content of the course will inspire and assist your club to create the perfect atmosphere for players and supporters for the season ahead.
Match Day Experience
We encourage clubs to allow their young players to take ownership and embrace the responsibility of organising the two home match day fixtures as an event for the whole club. Match days will be bursting with colour and excitement and could include:
- Coloured Playing Kits
- BBQ and Refreshments
- Pink Match Balls
- Coloured Stumps and Flashing Bails
- T20 Dugouts
- Banners and Bunting
- Music and Announcers
- U11s Guard of Honour
