Former Lancashire and England player Mike Watkinson handed out the trophies and entertained the audience with comical tales from his distinguished career.
There was plenty of success for Gloucestershire’s clubs and players on the night in both the individual and team awards.
Lechlade CC (Premier 2 Glos/Wilts) and Hatherley and Reddings CC (Gloucestershire) celebrated winning their respective leagues while three Glos-based players picked up individual prizes. They included former Gloucestershire professional and current county age group coach Paul Muchall won both the WEPL bowler of the year award and the Premier 1 player trophy after an outstanding season for Frocester CC.
Cheltenham CC’S Kieran Smith was named Glos/Wilts Player of the Year after making 790 runs at 52 while Hatherley and Reddings’ Tom Hage won the award for the Gloucestershire division for scoring over 600 runs and taking 13 wickets at 28.
