I just want to let you know that the children from Bisley Blue Coat School really enjoyed the competition at Stroud on Friday. Bisley is a small village school, with approximately 80 pupils, and it was our first time taking part in the competition. I took a squad of 9 children, some who play for local clubs but several who had never played a game before, and they played non-stop cricket for about three and a half hours, loving every minute of it and each of them wanting to play cricket again. They all learnt things during the afternoon, both the beginners and the more experienced. It was a really positive experience for us all, including supporting families who came to watch, and the children are already looking forward to entering again next year. Many thanks to all concerned for the hard work put into the day and the fair and positive way that the tournament was run.
