Women's Soft Ball Festivals

The 2024 summer will be action packed, with Women’s Soft Ball Festivals taking place across Gloucestershire.

The scheme aims to attract women who have never played before and ex-players who are interested in getting back into cricket.

No experience is necessary and all ages and abilities are welcome. Festivals are fun, sociable and a great way to get active.

Mums of Juniors and All Stars

Wives, girlfriends & friends of existing players

Daughters/Sisters 14+ of existing players

Female sports teams/players seeking a summer sport

Ex-players who want to get back into cricket

Existing players who don't want to play hard ball

What is the format?

  • 6-a-side soft ball matches
  • Clubs will play 3 matches per festival against other clubs of similar experience/ability levels

Becca Halliday / Women & Girls Development Officer

Becca joined the team in January 2024. Becca delivers cricket sessions to children of all ages and abilities in primary schools, secondary schools, cricket clubs and community areas and aims to engage and inspire young people to develop a love for sport through cricket. 

Becca has come through the Devon pathway, and now represents the Gloucestershire Women’s team.
