FROCESTER overcame Cam by 43 runs to win the Stroud & District Association’s Frocester Fayre Cup final, staged at Kings Stanley.
After winning the toss, Frocester piled up a commanding total of 142-4 which was centred on Dan Whincup’s 70 and an opening partnership of 81 with Chris Whincup (31).
Ryan Western finished with 2-25 for Cam while George Dolling captured 1-24 from five.
Cam, in reply, rallied from losing an early wicket to reach 67-1 thanks to the efforts of Stuart Newman (34) and Gareth Udal (24).
But both men perished to Kieran Tuck, who went on to claim 3-34, as Cam’s challenge faded to 99-9.
There was a return of 2-10 for Ben Spyvee and 1-12 from five for Josh Roberts as captain and wicketkeeper Will Partridge finished with four stumpings.
