Gloucestershire now have three county teams that play in the ECB soft and hard ball leagues.
Softball – ECB Super 9s League
The Meteors Super 9s development squad provides young people with either learning or physical disabilities a fantastic opportunity to be involved in cricket and gives them the opportunity to progress to the Javelins.
The Javelins Super 9s National league squad provide a competitive cricket environment for all ages and genders, the squad is fully inclusive and open to anyone with a physical or learning difficulty.
The training and match programme is part of a five-year rolling strategy committed to helping all ages and genders develop their cricketing skills to a competitive level.
We believe that the programme provides a safe and controlled environment to develop both sport and social skills.
Training sessions are held at Upton St Leonards Cricket Club through the spring summer months Sundays 10:00am to 11:45am (Not when county games are on) and Wednesday evenings 6:00pm to 7:00pm. The squads train indoors during winter months.
Over the coming season the club are actively recruiting for the future D40 Hardball squad.
The club are also in the process of forming a social side to team activities to involve family and friends.

Both the County teams are sponsored by CM Downton. The great opportunities available for people with disabilities would not be available if it wasn’t for the amazing support we receive from them.
