The annual Gloucestershire Cricket Board Coaches Association (GCBCA) event will take place on January 27 at Wycliffe College, 10am-3.30pm. It costs just £10 for GCBCA members and £15 for non-members, including lunch.
Mark Wallace is the most successful wicketkeeper in Glamorgan’s history, amassing more than 11, 000 runs and 750 dismissals in First Class cricket in an 18-year career. He also captained the club and made 341 appearances in white ball cricket. His workshop – “Keeping It Simple”- will demystify the art of wicketkeeping and provide coaches with a host of drills with which to develop their glovemen.
The post-lunch workshop will be an insight into the work of Gloucestershire Cricket’s strength and conditioning coach, Bob Smith. His workshop will highlight the impact a sound “S&C” programme can have on player performance. The session will give arm coaches with ways to incorporate appropriate warm-up and movement drills into their sessions.
The day will also include the GCBCA AGM.
