SKIPPER Oli Haynes hammered a century off just 43 balls for Knowle who cruised to a 150-run victory away to Gloucester City Winget in the last eight of the Stuart Canvas Gloucestershire Cup.
The Bristol side, who won the toss, made a fine start through openers Lance Ravens (73) and Tyler Anderson (49) before Haynes got to work, crashing ten fours and eight sixes.
Joe Brimble was in equally imperious form, finishing unbeaten on 47 off 26 balls (three fours, three sixes) as Knowle piled up a total of 320-5 which proved to be well out of range for Winget as Habib Naqvi (3-32), Ravens (2-37) and Joe Milkins (2-0) kept the pressure on.
The competition continues on Sunday when Bishopston will be bidding for a place in the semi-finals with a home date against Tewkesbury (1.30pm).
Already through are Cheltenham, who overcame Stroud by eight wickets, and Frocester who defeated Thornbury by two wickets.
There are also two Stuart Canvas Gloucestershire Trophy quarter-finals on Sunday with holders Bristol YMCA welcoming Westbury-on-Severn and Ashton Keynes home to Great Rissington (both 1.30pm).
