LANGFORD lock horns with Downend 2nds in the St Austell Brewery Gloucestershire Trophy final at Cheltenham on Sunday (noon).
The village side qualified for the playoff with fine wins on the road against Hambrook and then Kingsholm, while Downend overcame Redmarley, Gloucester AIW Sports and Great Rissington to go through.
Downend, meanwhile, have also qualified for the final of the Stuart Canvas Gloucestershire Cup after a low-scoring two-wicket win away to Cheltenham.
They now prepare for the final, at the Brightside County Ground on Sunday August 28, against Thornbury who clinched a 67-run triumph away to Winterbourne.
Captain Richard Trotman top scored with an unbeaten 88 from 100 balls (five fours, six sixes) while Jordan Hicks’ quick-fire 53 from 36 balls lifted Thornbury to 268-8 after winning the toss.
Chris Shine claimed 4-56 for Winterbourne who were always chasing the game after losing both openers cheaply. And although there was a half century from Tom Carter, Marcus Wormwell (2-22), Trotman (2-29) and Luke Franklin (2-49) kept the pressure on.
