A final call to our clubs, players and wider stakeholders to share their thoughts and opinions, which will shape the priorities for Cricket in Gloucestershire from 2020 to 2024 before Friday’s deadline.

Over the last 3 months the GCB has begun work on the production of a Gloucestershire Cricket Board Strategy for the years 2020 to 2024. This is a hugely important document as it will give the Board clear direction and purpose for the next 5 years. It will ensure that we maximise the additional investment opportunities available to the game and build on the buzz that has been created from two World Cup Trophy winning teams, as well as the birth of All Stars Cricket.

To ensure the strategy includes the thoughts and opinions of our members and key partners, and not just those of the GCB staff and Directors, an inclusive process of consultation has been undertaken. To date this has included consulting with our Development Groups, Workforce Associations, Cricketing Committees, and as a consequence the GCB Strategy – Consultation Document has been produced.

The next phase of our process is now collecting feedback and input from our clubs, players and wider stakeholders and this is where we would like your support. For the strategy to be successful and relevant we would like your feedback on what you believe to be the priorities for Cricket in Gloucestershire – this can be done by completing either:

The Recreational Game Consultation Online Survey 2020-2024 or by downloading the Recreational Game Consultation Form 2020-2024 (word doc).

Both of these surveys are identical, we are just providing you with options of how best you would like to feedback to us. By completing the survey you will be able to rank which areas are the most important for the Board to work on. You will also be able to highlight any further priorities that you believe are missing.

The survey/form should be completed and returned (steve.silk@glosccc.co.uk) /submitted by Friday 30th August.  Once this feedback has been collated we will work with the Gloucestershire County Cricket Club to produce the final document, that being a strategy for the whole game in Gloucestershire.

Thank you in advance for your time in completing the survey and for your support in shaping the future of cricket in Gloucestershire, as always your support is greatly appreciated.
