The annual event, which is designed to help clubs get their grounds ready for the new season, will take place on April 1-2.
If you hold either a CricketForce or Main Administration role on your club’s Play-Cricket site you can register here https://nwcf.ecb.co.uk/CFTheme/Login.aspx?dm_i=2SWS,D4CH,3JRPWD,1B66X,1
Last year more than 2200 clubs participated nationwide with 57 taking part in Gloucestershire.
Typical tasks undertaken over a CricketForce weekend range from simple paint jobs, sight screen scrubbing and renewed boundary fencing, to brand new changing rooms, function rooms and even a new pavilion.
Once again the ECB is encouraging clubs to engage members who don’t usually get involved, and reach out to their local communities.
Gloucestershire Cricket Board (GCB) clubs and projects officer Eric Woodmason said:

“CricketForce is a great way for clubs to kick-start their season.
“Not only does it help clubs get their facilities ready, it can also bring people together – both existing club members and people from the local community.
“Clubs often don’t make the most of the people and businesses on their doorstep. CricketForce provides the perfect opportunity to reach out and build new relationships.
“This can bring a wide range of benefits from reduced rates on equipment and materials, free expertise or an extra few pairs of hands.”
Dymock CC were chosen as one of the ECB’s three national showcase clubs and were visited by the likes of England captain Alastair Cook and former skipper Mike Gatting.

Eric said: “Dymock showed last year what can be achieved by a cricket club and the community coming together. We hope more Gloucestershire clubs will follow their example in 2017.
“There are so many benefits to being registered. You can purchase all sorts of materials at discount prices and you can obtain a Jewson Privilege Scheme, which for £50 from your club provides you with £350 of materials from Jewsons.”
