THE drinks were on the Robbins family after father Steve played alongside daughter Mollie and son Ross to help Hanham to a narrow win in Division Two of the Cricketer’s Warehouse Bristol & District League.
Ross, aged 20, skippered Hanham and hit 54 opening the innings while 55-year-old Steve added a rapid 20 from the middle order in a total of 275-7 away to Bedminster 2nds.
Mollie, 17, was not required to bat but she opened the bowling with Ross and claimed the first three Bedminster wickets to fall, finishing with 3-52 from her nine.
Ross captured 1-42, also from nine, while Mollie went on to have a hand in a run-out as Bedminster finished just short at 264-8.
This is thought to be the first time a dad has played with his son and daughter for a first XI in the Bristol & District League.
Two other families also made big contributions to a thrilling match.
The Hanham side also featured the father-and-son duo of Mark and Luke Stone who took a wicket apiece while the Bedminster innings was opened by the father-and-son pairing of Alex and Max Tryfonos, who scored 19 and 76, respectively!
