[lead]The GCB is asking club volunteers to “save the date” for its upcoming Club Development Workshops.[/lead]
The events – which are designed to provide support, guidance and advice to club officers – will take place in February at locations in the north and south of the county.
The south evening will be held at the Brightside Ground, Bristol on February 6, with the north one at Cheltenham Town Football Club on February 22.
Both events will run from 6.30pm for a 7pm start and finish around 9.15pm.
The workshops will feature seminars from the ECB’s new Participation and Growth team as well as other specialists with expertise on how to support clubs and their volunteers.
A full list of speakers and workshop topics will be announced soon.
The events will be open to key members from clubs including chairmen, treasurers, secretaries, youth co-ordinators, club captains etc.
The workshops follow on from two similar events held in 2015 where more than 200 officers from 105 cricket clubs attended.
The GCB’s partners will also be on hand to talk to clubs about exclusive offers and ways to save money on a wide range of things from energy bills to insurance to bars and cricket equipment.
