School Games Challenges

Coaches can challenge children to complete challenges away from weekly coaching sessions, maybe at home with a family member or during break-time with friends. Alternatively, coaches can encourage teachers to complete the challenge in school time with their pupils in between sessions.

Chance to Shine Schools Portal
The Chance to Shine charity – which aims to grow cricket in state schools – has helped introduce 3.5 million children to the game since 2005.
To continue to grow this number they have launched a Schools Portal to support Key Stage 1 & 2 delivery. It has been created in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust. As well as helping pupils develop their physical literacy skills the resources include classroom-based lessons to develop numeracy and literacy. The resources – which are for both Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils – also aim to support the development of important character traits.

Use the button to visit the Chance to Shine Teacher Portal and sign up for free (assessable to teachers and coaches).
We have created six weeks of Key Stage 2 Practical Cricket Sessions and an Indoor Wet Weather Session (Week 7). The plans give coaches a structured programme of fun and engaging cricket based sessions.
