FIVE Bristol Youth League cup finals are scheduled to take place at Frampton Cotterell on Sunday.
A hectic day of cricket on the two wickets at School Road gets underway at 10am with the Under 13 Frank Benner Cup play-off between Winterbourne and Bristol YMCA followed at 10.30am by the Under-17 David Allen Cup play-off which sees Bedminster take on Thornbury.
At 1pm it’s the Under-11 Don Brooks Trophy between Bristol YMCA and Coalpit Heath, the Under-15 Urban Windows Cup final between Bristol and Thornbury starts at around 2.30pm while the day concludes with the Under-11 Dave McCarthy Cup final at around 4pm when Bedminster will face Winterbourne or Thornbury.
Frocester, meanwhile, were knocked out of The Cricketer Village Cup by only one run at home to North Perrott.
The Somerset visitors were bowled out for 227, Ash Davis (4-35) and Chad Trainor (3-41) the pick of the attack.
And Frocester were then edged out of a quarter-final place in a dramatic conclusion, falling just short with six required from the last over.
Skipper Sam Birch perished with three balls to go for an excellent 37 while opener Callum Gegg was earlier denied a deserved century when he was caught for what was so nearly a match-winning 98.
Holders Bishopston are through to the semi-finals of the Stuart Canvas Gloucestershire Cup thanks to a six-wicket victory away to Winterbourne.
The hosts were bowled out for 147, Sam Bracey top scoring on 39 as Cyrus Shafi captured 4-21.
And opener Daaryoush Ahmed then led Bish through with 59 while James Pilling was unbeaten on 35 in a comfortable win.
