TWYFORD House showed plenty of character to complete a six-wicket home win over OB Westbury in Gloucestershire’s Vitality U19 T20 in partnership with Stuart Turner.

The visitors were pegged back to a total of 132-9 from their 20, Joe Cuthbert hitting 28 and Fin Yates 20 as Laurence Chandler (3-20 from three) and Johnny Groves (2-25 from four) led the charge with the ball, well supported by Alex Wilson (1-16 from four).

Twyford’s reply was headed by Jacob Neville, who retired after reaching 50, while fellow opener Wilson weighed in with 19 as their side wrapped up their campaign in the South group by winning with eight balls to spare.

Golden Hill, last season’s beaten finalists, were 15-run home victors over Winterbourne, Cyrus Shafi retiring after reaching 50 before openers Jon Peterson (46) and Owen Lingard (25) led the visitors’ reply.

This group was topped by champions Bedminster who will face North winners Dumbleton in the final, on a date and at a venue to be announced.

There’s a flurry of action in the Marsh Commercial U16 T20 on Monday with Frocester hosting a North Group triangular.

Frocester kick things off against Cheltenham (10am), before Cheltenham then meet Dumbleton (1pm) with Frocester and Dumbleton facing off at 4pm.

One match is also scheduled on Sunday in the North Development Group with Frampton-on-Severn welcoming Great Rissington (2pm).
