LOUIS Gegg turned in a fine all-round display as Stroud stunned high-flying Thornbury by nine wickets in WEPL Premier Two Glos/Wilts.
Thornbury, pushing hard for promotion in their 150th year, were pegged back to 207-8 by Gegg (5-27 from nine) as Dan Lezar top scored on 57.
And Gegg (63) then played a crucial supporting role in an unbroken stand of 151 with Ishan Mulchandani (93 off 78) to give Stroud vital breathing space in their battle to avoid relegation.
Quickest win of the day came at Frocester who skittled Burbage & Easton Royal for 62 and then took only 9.5 overs to bank maximum points.
Dumbleton suffered an eight-wicket home reverse against Marshfield while Hatherley & Reddings slipped up by nine runs at home to bottom side Biddestone.

Norton’s reply never got out of the first gear and the visitors finished well short at 89-8.
Winterbourne continued their move up the table with a third successive win as they brushed past North Perrott by three wickets.
