BOHEMIANS moved out of the bottom two in Division Two of the Martin Berrill Bristol & District League courtesy of an exciting last-ball three-wicket victory away to high-flying Brislington 2nds.
Opener Cameron George (48) saw Bris to a 30-over total of 151-7, Jack Vittles capturing 2-28 from six.
And Chris O’Farrell (44) then led Bohemians over the line with opener Aaron Powell (32) and Rakesh Bah (28) also making vital contributions despite the efforts of Matt Henley (5-38) and Harrison Longega (2-8, both from six).
On an extremely wet day when very few matches were completed, Midsomer Norton 2nds moved to the top of Division Three despite a seven-wicket home reverse against Frampton Cotterell.
Norton took four points from this 36-over contest, and that was enough for them to move ahead of Backwell Flax Bourton who were washed out at home to Old Down.
Norton hit 187-3 but Frampton, who began the day in seventh place, turned the form book upside down to wrap up a comfortable win thanks to skipper Luke Baker (69) and Jon Shermon (40 not).
Brislington 3rds went top of Division Six thanks to a six-wicket home success over Bristol United Banks.
Opener Dan Lockwood hit 62 in Banks’ 30-over total of 143-7 before a further shower resulted in Bris being set a reduced target which was chased down by captain James Taylor (32 not) and opener Frazer Reeves (31).
