Trophy Tour Club Competition

Gloucestershire clubs are being given the chance to get their hands on the Cricket World Cup trophy.

Affiliated clubs can enter a competition to bring the famous piece of silverware to their club on March 9 (10am-12pm) as part of the ICC’s 2019 Trophy Tour.

All you have to do is tell us what special event you will put on if you should win the chance for the trophy to come to your club.

We are looking for:

  • Whole club involvement – Senior and junior players, women and girls, All Stars Cricket
  • Make it special – colour, noise, atmosphere, games, challenges etc.
  • Be unique – Engage the local community, involve all generations, make it a day to remember.

Each club has 250 words to explain what they would do, and how they could make the event a success.

The competition runs from now until Friday February 1.

The competition is being run by the GCB and Gloucestershire Cricket – which hosts three World Cup matches this summer. A number of other local Trophy Tour events will be announced shortly.

Club eligibility:

  • All clubs who enter must be a GCB Primary affiliated club
  • One entry per club
  • Entries no longer than 250 words
  • Proposed events must take place at the Cricket Club.
  • Deadline for entries is Friday February 1 at 12pm.
