Within Gloucestershire we take the welfare of our coaches, players and volunteers extremely seriously.
The county has an appointed welfare officer – Tom Boore – whose job is to liaise with the GCB on all welfare issues and to offer advice to anyone within cricket who needs it.
Should you have an issue that you would like advice on please contact Tom using the details below:
01452 700228 or 07717 193 435 or Tom Boore.
To support Tom with his work each club across the county should have its own club welfare officer who is nominated by the club and has attended the necessary courses provided by the GCB eg Safeguarding and Protecting Children (SPC) and ECB Club Welfare Officer.
In an ideal situation each club should also have a deputy to take the place of the welfare officer should they be a way. These officers’ details should be provided to the league in which the club plays and also the GCB.
GCB Deputy Welfare Officer is:
Jim Donaldson or 01179 600213 or 07771 502 274.
